The grant is available for undergraduate students who hold a student residence status in Japan. The applicants must have enrolled in an undergraduate programme at KGU and must be accepted to receive up to a 25% discount on the tuition fee of the applied programme under this application .

KGU Scholarships for International Students in Japan for Bachelor Founded in 1912, Kwansei Gakuin University is a private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Nishinomiya (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Hyogo. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Kobe Sanda. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan, Kwansei Gakuin University (KG) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Protestant religion. Kwansei Gakuin University (KG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. The admission rate range is 10-20% making this Japanese higher education organization a most selective institution. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Applicants can enrol in any undergraduate programme offered by KGU.

Offered Benefits

KGU will give the winners of this application 20% to 25% of the tuition fee of the undergraduate programme pursue at the university in Japan.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Students must have to take admission in the undergraduate degree programme at the university. A separate application is not required.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Academic Transcripts
  • Recommendation letters
  • Short essays on prescribed themes
  • Letter of reference
  • Photocopy of residence card
  • Admission Requirements: It is mandatory to have attended 12 years of schooling before applying for an undergraduate programme at KGU to secure admission.
  • Language Requirement: The applicants are required to attain minimum scores in the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL PBT – 570
  • TOEFL IBT – 85
  • IELTS – 6.0
  • TOEIC – 780
