University Senate Scholarship:
- The university senate provides an annual budget for scholarships, research, and internships to students and aspiring students.
- The scholarship budget per student ranges from $1000 to $10,000 depending on the student’s status provided by the department concerned.

- This scholarship package is designed for less privileged and deserving students.
- This scholarship package may include travel abroad programs, research grants, internships, and exchange programs.
President’s Scholarship:
- KIU provides a limited number of work-study scholarships to the following category of students – need-based for underprivileged students, talent-based for athletes and artists, and disability-based for those with special needs.
- This scholarship may cover a portion or all of the student’s tuition. Still, each is unique, and the terms are provided in the award letter.
- KIU provides professional training scholarships at home and abroad with highly recognized organizations.
- The office of the University President offers up to 80% of Scholarships to less privileged, deserving students. Seasonal tuition reductions to applicants from specific countries and partner universities, institutions, and organizations.
- This scholarship decision is exclusive to the University’s president’s approval
Rector/VC Scholarships:
- The office of the Rector/VC provides up to 75% tuition scholarships to all applicants, who must earn at least an average of 15/20 at the High School or Diploma level or a GPA of at least 3.20 on a scale of 4.00 and above at the undergraduate level.
Director’s Scholarships:
- The Students Affairs Director’s office provides 60 to 70% tuition scholarships to all applicants, who must earn an average of 13/20 at the High School or Diploma level or a GPA of at least 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 at the undergraduate level.
Registrar’s Scholarship:
- The registrar’s office provides 40 to 60% tuition scholarships to all applicants, who must earn an average of 13/20 at the High School or Diploma level or a GPA of at least 2.50 to 2.90 on a scale of 4.00 at the undergraduate level.
Corporate Scholarships:
- These scholarships are provided by corporate bodies (companies, institutions, NGOs, etc.) either to their employees or other deserving students.
- This scholarship package may include travel abroad programs, research grants, internships, and exchange programs.
Application Process
The scholarships are not automatic, so students must apply for them between January-February, May-June, and September-October each year to be eligible.

- The applicant wrote a signed motivation letter
- Scanned copy of undergraduate transcripts and attestation or certificate (for master study)
