Kathmandu University Awards in Nepal Established in 1991, Kathmandu University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the rural setting of the medium-sized town of Dhulikhel (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Central Region. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Nepal, Kathmandu University (KU) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 2,000-2,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Kathmandu University (KU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 28 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 60-70% making this Nepalese higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The studentship is accessible for undergraduate and postgraduate study in any subject area.
  • Admissible Criteria: To take part in this grant, you will be complete the following eligibility criteria:
  • Students must need to maintain a minimum total GPA of 3.0 to continue in each academic year

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Interested applicants are recommended to take admission in undergraduate and postgraduate degree coursework at the university. After being enrolled, you will be relevant for the bursary.
  • Supporting Documents: All applicants must submit the CV, transcriptions of academic records and one or more recommendation letters with their application.
  • Admission Requirements:Candidates must hold a previous degree certificate with excellent academic achievement.
  • Language Requirements: If English is not your first language, then you must submit a copy of a recent English language test certificate.
