Kansas State University 2023-2024 International Excellence Scholarships for International Students for Bachelor Established in 1863, Kansas State University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Manhattan (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Kansas. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Salina, Olathe. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Higher Learning Commission, Kansas State University (KSU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Kansas State University (KSU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 156 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 90-100% making this US higher education organization a least selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

The International Excellence Scholarship is Awarded to incoming international freshmen with a high school GPA between 3.75-4.00 (or above).

Application Process

  • All admitted degree-seeking international undergraduate students may apply for these scholarships. If you apply, you will be automatically considered for, and could receive, all three awards. 
  • To apply for scholarship consideration, please submit a personal statement via email to   no later than the application deadline listed below. Please include your full name as written on your passport and your Wildcat ID (WID) as listed on your admission letter. 
  • The personal statement should be no more than 500 words and answer the question: “What will you contribute to the K-State Family as a student?” While the statement should be in English, your proficiency level will not be a factor in your consideration.

Please note that meeting the eligibility requirements for a scholarship does not guarantee an award, as all award amounts and criteria are pending availability of funds and are subject to change. Plan to apply by the priority application date corresponding to your entry term for full scholarship consideration.
