Kans and Kandy Charitable Trust Postgraduate Scholarships in UK for Master


Northumbria University is delighted to collaborate with The Kans and Kandy Charitable Trust in offering five Postgraduate scholarships for students applying to commence their studies in September 2024. The Kans and Kandy Scholarship, exclusively available to women, will grant £2,000 to five students pursuing one of the specified disciplines during their one-year degree program. This financial support can be utilized to enrich the overall learning experience.

Kans and Kandy Group, founded in 2000, operates three distinct divisions, each with a set of values steeped in the mission of our B Corp Certification.  Their growing property division, Kans and Kandy Property, owns a diverse portfolio of land and properties. They are particularly proud of their focus on working with tenants who are leading the way in eco and environmental projects, including the creation of sustainable energy and high-volume plastic recycling.

Kans and Kandy Charitable Trust Postgraduate Scholarships in UK for Master Founded in 1992, Northumbria University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Newcastle upon Tyne (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), North East England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Northumbria University (UNN) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Northumbria University (UNN) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 27 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: UK/Home applicants
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Business Analytics MSc, Business and Management MSc, Global Logistics, Operations and Supply Chain Management MSc, Disaster Management and Sustainable Development MSc, Mathematics MSc
  • Admissible Criteria:
    • Open to women
    • Must be a self-funded student
    • Must apply to study one of the specified full-time programs commencing in September 2024
    • Must meet the terms and conditions and accept the offer
    • Must not have fees paid through a sponsorship arrangement
    • The students selected for The Kans and Kandy Scholarship will not be eligible for other Northumbria Postgraduate Scholarships
    • If selected and a Northumbria Alumni, the applicant will also be eligible for the Alumni Discount

Offered Benefits

  • The Kans and Kandy Scholarship is awarded as a cash sum of £2,000.
  • The cash award will be distributed as follows: 25% in November 2024, 25% in February 2025, and 50% in May 2025.
  • Successful students must send a thank-you letter and progress updates to the donor.
  • Failure to provide a thank-you letter and progress updates will result in the withdrawal of the scholarship.
  • If the recipient defers their place, the scholarship offer will be withdrawn.
  • If the recipient decides to leave the course after a scholarship payment has been made, the University will not make efforts to reclaim the amount.
  • Northumbria reserves the right to withdraw this scheme at any point.
  • The University’s decision is final and cannot be challenged; there is no right of appeal.
