KAIST Grants

KAIST University Scholarships, South Korea Founded in 1971, KAIST is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Daejeon (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Korea, KAIST is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 7,000-7,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. KAIST offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

You must be from any country other than South Korea (and do not hold South Korean citizenship)
If you want to apply for the scholarship and study in the spring of 2021, you must have finished high school in February
If you want to apply for the scholarship and study in the fall of 2021, you must have finished high school in August 2021.

Offered Benefits

The scholarship covers all full tuition costs
Provides a monthly stipend for all students, which is equivalent to 300 USD
Availability of health insurance

  • High school diploma in case of applying for a bachelor’s program
    Important note: If you are a student and are still studying at high school and want to apply for a bachelor’s degree, you can write the expected graduation date in the app
    High school diploma and Bachelor’s degree in case of applying for a master’s program
    Important note: If you are a student and are still studying with a bachelor’s degree and want to apply for a master’s program, you can write the expected graduation date in the app
    Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in case of applying for a doctoral program
    Important note: If you are a student and are still studying for a master’s degree and want to apply for a PhD program, you can write the expected graduation date in the app.
