Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) is inviting applicants to apply for Junior Research or Postdoctoral Position for the academic session 2025/2026.

Applicants must hold a master’s or PhD degree in physics, climate science, mathematics/statistics, or a related field. They should have a solid background in climate and atmospheric sciences, with skills in scientific programming (e.g., Python, Matlab, R) and data analysis. Experience with high-performance computing and knowledge of machine learning or time series analysis is advantageous.

The Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) is one of the world’s leading research institutions in the field of global environmental change. Founded in 1992 and located in Potsdam, Germany, PIK conducts interdisciplinary research that combines natural and social sciences to better understand climate change, its impacts, and pathways toward sustainable development. The institute collaborates closely with national and international partners and provides science-based policy advice to governments and organizations.
