Joyce Family Foundation Bursary for Indigenous Students at Carleton University 2026 for Bachelor Established in 1942, Carleton University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large city of Ottawa (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Ontario. Offered Benefits

  • Applicant must be an Indigenous student that has applied and been offered admission to an undergraduate degree program at Carleton University
  • Applicant must be entering the first year of the program and pursuing post-secondary studies for the first time
  • Applicant must demonstrate financial need (by completing and submitting the application form)
  • Applicant must demonstrate community involvement and resilience in their pursuit of post-secondary education
  • Applicant must be entering University no more than three years after completing high school
  • Preference will be given to those who have limited or no other avenues of funding to support their pursuit of postsecondary education

Application Process

Required Documents:

  • Provide one (1) letter of recommendation
    • The letter should show clear support of how you are an excellent candidate for the Joyce Family Foundation Bursaries for Indigenous Students.
    • Be sure to choose a person who can write a letter that will speak to your experiences meeting the specific eligibility criteria as well as the ways in which you exemplify the values of this award •
    • Complete the entire form and submit all documents directly to Awards and Financial Aid: • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
