To recognize outstanding academic and achievement records showcased by bright students, the Saint Joseph’s University has decided to award international students John P. McNulty Scholars Program for Leadership in Science and Mathematics for the academic year 2025-2026.

The university will award this scholarship especially to women who declare a major in biochemistry, biology, chemical biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental science, mathematics, neuroscience, pharmaceutical chemistry or physics. The applicants should have a minimum GPA of 3.5 to be considered for the award that is expected to cover full or partial tuition fee.Saint Joseph’s University is a private Jesuit university in Philadelphia and Lower Merion, Pennsylvania. The university was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1851 as Saint Joseph’s College. Saint Joseph’s University is ranked 10th out of 181 Regional Universities North and is also the seventh oldest Jesuit university in the United States and the fourth largest university in Philadelphia.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Foreign students are eligible to apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Undergraduate programme of choice offered at the Saint Joseph’s University can be applied for.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be international first time applicants at SJU.

Saint Joseph’s University will award full-tuition scholarships and additional partial scholarships to the selected foreign undergraduates.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Common Application portal or Joseph’s Application portal can be used to submit an admission application at SJU. Scholarship application can be started by logging in here.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • High School Transcripts
  • University or Post-Secondary Transcripts
  • Credential Evaluation
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency
  • Resume
  • Certificate of Finances
  • Letter of academic recommendation
  • Personal essay
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must be having a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative high school grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL – 79
  • IELTS – 6.5
  • Duolingo – 105
