  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Doctoral programme at the Department of English at the University of Liverpool can be applied.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must have applied to a PhD programme by 18th March 2022.
  • The applicants should have a proven track record of academic excellence and already show the potential to be an outstanding academic researchers.

Offered Benefits

The selected students will be provided home tuition fees, plus a living allowance at the UK Research and Innovation Council rate, i.e., £15,609 in 2021-22.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Students can make their admission applications on the university’s application portal. To apply for the studentship, applicants must send the supporting documents to . The students must also have two academic references sent to by their referees by 4th April 2022.
  • Supporting Documents: The students should send a CV, qualification transcripts, a 1500-word research proposal, and a 500-word description of previous research training/experience and envisaged training needs.
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must have a 2:1 or higher master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 88
  • C1 Advanced CAE – 176
  • TOEFL IBT – 88
