James A. Wells, Sr. Veterans Scholarship 2023 for Course Established in 1992, University of Sunderland is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Sunderland (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), North East England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Sunderland is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Sunderland offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 27 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: The United States
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for a postsecondary degree program
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Must be a Kentucky or Indiana resident
  • Must be a US Military active duty, reservist, veteran, spouse or child of someone who served the country.
  • Be a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled student at a 2 or 4-year college or university
  • Plan to pursue a postsecondary degree after high school graduation

Offered Benefits

Two students will be awarded $1,000; nonrenewable to be paid directly to the college or university admissions office.
