There are up to 60 awards available to motivate students who want to start their postdoctoral degree at Institute of Science and Technology (IST) Austria.The Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) is a versatile research establishment that integrates fundamental scientific exploration with graduate-level education. ISTA’s team of scientists engage in both theoretical and experimental investigations across a spectrum of fields, including biology, neuroscience, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, and their interconnected domains. These researchers work within compact to moderately sized research teams, fostering collaboration and cross-disciplinary interactions. Each research team at ISTA is under the guidance of a tenured or tenure-track professor.

The selected fellows for an IST-BRIDGE fellowship will benefit from the program as follows:
- Financial Supports and Salary: BRIDGE fellows will receive two-year, full-time employment contracts with a competitive salary of a minimum EUR 61,000 gross Full Social Security coverage.
- A single paid relocation allowance of EUR 2,000An additional funding of EUR 1,000 for researchers whose partner/family relocates with them.
- Academic Benefits: Competency-based training: 4 flexibles ‘career tracks’ programOptional BRIDGE assignments and secondments.
- They will get the title of ‘Marie Skodowska-Curie fellow,’ an internationally recognized symbol of research excellence.
