Many students dream of studying in New Zealand but they are unable to do it due to financial barriers. To cover study expenses, the University of Canterbury is offering the Charles Cook, Warwick House, Memorial funding for the session 2020/21.

The scholarship aims to support international students who want to apply for the postgraduate or research program at the University.

University of Canterbury International Charles Cook, Warwick House, Memorial Scholarship in New Zealand Established in 1873, University of Canterbury is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Christchurch (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Canterbury. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment, New Zealand, University of Canterbury (UC) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Canterbury (UC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 146 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Honours, and Doctoral in many subjects offered by the university.
  • Admissible Criteria: The grant is available to applicants who intend to conduct research or postgraduate study, either full-time or part-time, at the University, and who have completed the requirements to graduate from a university in New Zealand with one of the given qualifications: Master of Science degree (MSc), Bachelor of Science with Honours degree (BSc(Hons)) and bachelor’s degree.

 The University of Canterbury will offer $1,000 to both domestic and international students for the academic year 2020-2021.

  • How to Apply: If you want to be enlisted in this educational program, then you are recommended to take admission in your chosen degree coursework at the University of Canterbury. After being registered, applicants must submit an online application.
  • Supporting Documents: Candidates must submit a CV, academic certificates, and transcripts with your application.
  • Admission Requirements: For being admitted, you need to meet entry requirements for each qualification you plan to study.
