International Transport Scholarships


The Institute for Transport Studies (ITS), University of Leeds is offering 50% fees scholarships, each worth £8,500, to provide development opportunities to students of outstanding ability, achievement and potential. The scholarships will fund 50% of the tuition fees for international students to undertake a full-time Masters degree programme. The scholarships form part of the ITS mission to advance the understanding of global transport, via the development of future transport professionals.

ITS is globally recognised as one of the world’s largest and most successful University departments for transport teaching and research. ITS Masters programmes are accredited by leading professional bodies and equip you with the practical skills for progression to a range of professional-level careers in the transport industries. Scholarship applications can be made for any of the six programmes:
• MSc Mathematical Modelling for Transport
• MSc Sustainability in Transport
• MSc Transport Economics
• MSc Transport Planning
• MSc Transport Planning and the Environment
• MSc (Eng) Transport Planning and Engineering

International Transport Scholarships Founded in 1904, University of Leeds is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Leeds (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Yorkshire and the Humber. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Leeds is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Leeds offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

You must first hold an offer (conditional or unconditional) of an academic place on an ITS Masters programme for the academic year commencing September 2016, and be designated by the University as being of international fee status. All applications will be assessed on a competitive basis. A scholarship award cannot be deferred and will lapse if not accepted in September 2016.
