Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD degree program in Digital Media Analysis
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible for the opportunity program, applicants have, or are about to be awarded, a PhD in computational social science, media or communication studies, sociology, political science, or a related discipline.
  • They should have a good command of digital media analysis and/or computational social science methods as well as an interest in civic or political participation, social movements, political parties, digital or broadcast media.

Offered Benefits

The University of Copenhagen will offer a salary of DKK 34,300 (EUR 4,590) per month + a 17,1 % contribution to the pension scheme. It is possible to negotiate salary supplements on an annual basis.

  • How to Apply: To be considered for the fellowship, all interested candidates are required to take admission in a PhD degree at the University of Copenhagen. After getting enrolled, applicants must complete and submit the online application form.
  • Supporting Documents: Candidates must submit all the following documents:
  • Application letter/cover letter
  • Curriculum vitae (with applicant’s e-mail address & telephone number)
  • Documentation of qualifications (examination certificates/PhD diploma, etc.).
  • Complete and numbered list of publications. The enclosed publications must be marked with.
  • Research plan (max 5 pages), including a short description of previous research and a plan for the coming years that includes an account of involvement in organizing research, the establishment of research seminars, symposia, and congresses, etc.
  • Documentation of teaching qualifications and research dissemination, if any
  • Publication list (if relevant)
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants will be selected based on previous publications (if any) and relevant work experience.
  • Language Requirement:If English is not your first language, you should provide evidence of English language ability: IELTS, TOEFL, or other acceptable proof.
