Exciting postdoctoral opportunity at the VIB Center for Inflammation Research! The Sophie Janssens lab at Ghent University is seeking a talented postdoctoral researcher to apply for International Postdoctoral Position on IRE1 Biology in Dendritic Cells. Ideal candidates will have a background in cell biology and biochemistry, with a strong interest in immunology. This one-year position offers rich training opportunities and the possibility of securing future fellowships.

Applicants must hold a PhD in biochemistry, biotechnology, biomedical sciences, cell biology, bio-engineering, or a related discipline. They should have strong expertise in biochemistry and molecular biology, with additional skills in imaging being advantageous. A keen interest in immunology and dendritic cell biology, along with experience in working with mouse models (FELASA C certification), is required.   • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for research in biochemistry, biotechnology, biomedical sciences, cell biology, bio-engineering, or related fields
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet the following criteria:
    • Hold a PhD in biochemistry/biotechnology, biomedical sciences, cell biology, bio-engineering, or a related discipline
    • Demonstrate strong expertise in biochemistry and/or molecular biology
    • Experience in imaging and microscopy is a plus
    • Keen interest in immunology and dendritic cell biology
    • Experience in working with mouse models (FELASA C required)
    • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
