Artificial Intelligence has increasingly become part of our everyday lives and scientific endeavors. With this integration comes significant responsibility. The Carlsberg Semper Ardens Advance project on Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence aims to revisit the foundations of responsible AI, delving into deep philosophical questions arising from recent breakthroughs.The University of Copenhagen (UCPH) is the largest institution of research and education in Denmark, founded in 1479. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the university
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must have research qualifications at least corresponding to what can be achieved as part of a successfully completed PhD within a relevant field. Relevant fields include, but are not limited to, philosophy, computer science, psychology, and linguistics.

Offered Benefits

Successful applicants will benefit from a salary starting at DKK 36,400 (EUR 4,800) plus a 17.1% contribution to the pension scheme, with the possibility of negotiating salary supplements on an annual basis. Additionally, international researchers employed by the University have the opportunity to achieve a pension exemption, whereby the pension contribution will be paid out as salary.

  2. Curriculum vitae (with applicant’s e-mail & telephone number).
  3. Documentation of qualifications (examination certificates/PhD diploma, etc.).
  4. Complete and numbered list of publications. The enclosed publications must be marked with *.
  5. Research plan, including a short description of previous research and a plan for the coming years that includes an account of how the applicant will contribute to the deliverables in the project description.
  6. Documentation of teaching qualifications and research dissemination, if any.
  7. Publications. Applicants may choose a maximum of three publications for assessment. Publication dates must be clearly marked on the publication list. The publications selected must be uploaded as attachments and listed from 1 to 3.
