The University of Stuttgart is offering a two-year International Postdoctoral Position in Earth Science within the Stuttgart Center for Simulation Science (SC SimTech). The project “UNI-BENCH: Diagnostic benchmarking of hybrid hydrological models” focuses on advancing hybrid modeling by combining physics-based and data-driven approaches to improve trust and interpretability in hydrological models.
Applicants must hold a PhD in hydrology, geosciences, environmental engineering, computer or data science, or a related discipline. They should have a strong interest in physics-based or data-driven modeling, model diagnostics, or interpretability, along with experience in coding, model building, or applying information-theoretic methods.
