Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Students can apply for a PhD study programme: Understanding the sensory perception of topically applied products
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must have a masters degree from a recognized university.
  • Qualified students in science-related subjects, with experience in sensory and consumer science and rheology desirable conditional on the attainment of at least an upper second class degree (or equivalent). An MSc (merit or above) is preferable but not essential alongside laboratory experience.

Offered Benefits

The University of Nottingham will provide a stipend (£16,062 per annum) and full payment of Home/EU tuition fees ( £4,596 per annum). The successful applicant will be registered for the degree of PhD in the School of Biosciences. Applications are invited from both UK and non-UK residents. However, please be aware if you are a non-UK applicant, that the BBSRC requirements cap the number of PhDs that can be filled by non-UK residents at 30% per academic year.

  • CV, including expected or actual degree class, and a minimum of two references.
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must have a minimum of an upper second-class honors degree from a 4-year undergraduate course, or equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics,  Material Science, Natural Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Pharmacy, Synthetic Biology, Computational Biology/Chemistry or a related subject
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
