International PhD Studentship in Architecting Scalable Quantum Computers, UK Established in 1209, University of Cambridge is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Cambridge (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), East of England. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Any subject related to computer science, electrical engineering, or physics
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
    • Hold a first-class honours degree or good upper-second class honours degree from a UK university or an equivalent standard from an overseas university, in a relevant subject such as computer science, electrical engineering, or physics.
    • Prior experience in quantum computing research is not required, but a willingness to learn and explore new concepts within quantum computing and computer science is crucial.

The selected candidate will receive full funding for a 3.5-year PhD position, with the opportunity to extend funding by another 6 months if needed. The research will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Prakash Murali within the Computer Architecture Research Group at the University of Cambridge.
