International PhD Scholarships in Intersection of Innovative Health Infrastructures, Data Sharing and Complex Regulatory Frameworks, Denmark Established in 1479, Københavns Universitet (University of Copenhagen) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Copenhagen (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Capital Region of Denmark. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Uddannelses- og Forskningsministeriet (Ministry of Higher Education and Science, Denmark), Københavns Universitet (KU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 35,000-39,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Københavns Universitet (KU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All international entrants are eligible to apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD programme in Faculty of Law
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Applicants must have obtained a degree that corresponds to the Danish Master of Laws degree which is a second cycle 120 ECTS degree (two years of full-time studies), that builds on a 180 ECTS bachelor’s degree (three years of full-time studies) or equivalent qualifications. Applicants with a non-Danish Master’s degree will have their degree assessed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science in order to establish, if the Master’s degree is equivalent to a Danish Master’s degree.
  • Applicants must have obtained a minimum overall grade average of 8.2 or above at the Master’s level in accordance with the Danish grading scale (for Danish scale, see  https://ufm.dk/en/education/the-danish-education-system/grading-system?set_language=en&cl=en).
  • Applicants may submit their application before they have completed their Master’s Degree. The Master’s degree must be obtained before the start date.
  • Applicants must document an aptitude for research through the meritorious assessment of their final thesis, publications or academic recommendations in order to show that they are capable of undertaking the demanding task of writing a PhD thesis.

Offered Benefits

The successfully selected applicants will receive a regular monthly salary in accordance with Danish law and you will be entitled to an annual research budget.

  • How to Apply: The applicants must apply to the university through its  online a by creating an account and completing the application process. They are required to submit the  scholarship application form
  • Supporting Documents: The applicants must submit the following documents:
  • Motivated letter of application (max. one page)
  • CV incl. education, experience, language skills and other skills relevant for the position
  • Master of Science diploma and transcript of records. If not completed, a certified/signed copy of a recent transcript of records or a written statement from the institution or supervisor will do
  • Publication list (if possible)
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must check and fulfil the admission guidelines to be admitted at UCH for the fellowship.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must have excellent language skills in English and have excellent communications skills. Applicants must be able to teach at an academic level in Danish or English and to follow PhD courses in English.
