International PhD Scholarship in Achieving Positive Social-Ecological Outcomes in Globally Connected World, Australia Founded in 1989, Queensland University of Technology is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Brisbane (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Queensland. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. Queensland University of Technology (QUT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the Science department at QUT
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Meet the entry requirements for a QUT Doctor of Philosophy, including any English language requirements.
  • Start as a full-time internal student by 31st July 2025.
  • Have a background and strong interest in environmental management, biodiversity conservation, and/or sustainability.
  • Experience in the social sciences and/or economics is advantageous.
  • Quantitative analysis skills (e.g., statistics, network analysis, or modelling) or an ability and interest to develop these skills are also advantageous.

Offered Benefits

Recipients of this scholarship will receive:

  • A stipend scholarship of $33,637 per annum for up to 3.5 years, with a potential 6-month extension if approved.
  • A tuition fee offset/sponsorship covering the cost of tuition fees for up to 4 full-time equivalent years of doctoral studies.
  • The opportunity to work with a team of leading researchers and undertake innovative research in the field.
