Eindhoven University of Technology is pleased to announce the Irène Curie Fellowship for a PhD position on “Physics of fluids jetting” within the Department of Applied Physics, specifically in the Fluids and Flows group.
This fellowship aims to support outstanding candidates in pursuing doctoral research focusing on the fundamental physics behind droplet formation in ink-jet print-heads. The program seeks individuals with a strong background in fluid dynamics and computational physics who are eager to contribute to the advancement of inkjet printing technologies.The selected candidate will work closely with Canon Production Printing Netherlands B.V. and other PhD students within a collaborative network, exploring various aspects of ink-jet printing through numerical and theoretical investigations.

Eligibility Criteria

• Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by Eindhoven University of Technology.
• Admissible Criteria: Applicants must hold an MSc in (applied) physics or mechanical engineering, demonstrate expertise in fluid dynamics and computational physics, and possess strong written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of multiphase fluid dynamics and parallel programming is advantageous. Candidates should be team-oriented and willing to engage in collaborative research efforts.
