Wageningen University & Research invites applications for a fully funded PhD position in the field of Cell and Developmental Biology. The scholarship aims to support an inventive, creative, and talented individual in unraveling the physiology and molecular mechanisms responsible for plasma membrane adaptation to environmental stimuli.
The project’s aim is to characterize the spatio-temporal changes in the plasma membrane proteome during the response to environmental stimuli, with a focus on the root of the model organism Arabidopsis thaliana. The research will utilize state-of-the-art approaches such as biochemistry, high-end confocal microscopy, spatial transcriptomics, and cell biology to unravel the intricate organization of the plasma membrane.
