The aim of this position is to conduct research on increasing citizens’ digital media literacy in online political communication as part of an ERC-funded project at Wageningen University and Research. The position also includes teaching and project management tasks. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD degree in Science position at Wageningen University & Research.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Completed MSc degree or finishing one before July 1, 2023, in Communication Science, Political Science, or Sociology.
  • Interest in online political communication and societal impact
  • Empirical research focus and willingness to learn quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, Stata, and/or R
  • The candidate should also have a scientific mindset, inquisitive personality, team player, and ability to work independently.

  • Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): any grade accepted
  • RATEr: local test only available at Wageningen University & Research or Nijmegen University, with passing score required to meet entry requirements.
