  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in the Department of Computer Science.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible to apply for these positions, applicants need to have or be about to obtain either a BSc or an MSc degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field. The successful candidates are expected to have a strong background and passionate interest in mathematics and theoretical computer science, as demonstrated by excellent grades in relevant courses, or by results at the Olympiads of Mathematics or Informatics, or by publications in relevant internationally recognized conferences or journals.

Offered Benefits

Those who are successful in their application will be offered a salary as well as work at the University of Copenhagen on a full-time basis for up to three years.

  • Motivational letter of application (maximum of one page)
  • Your motivation for applying to this particular PhD project
  • Curriculum vitae detailing your education, experience, language skills, and other relevant skills for the role
  • Original Bachelor of Science or Master of Science diplomas, as well as transcripts of records in the original language, including an authorized English translation if awarded in a language other than English or Danish. If a completed application is not available, a certified/signed copy of a current transcript of records or a written statement from the institution or supervisor would suffice.
  • List of publications (if possible)
  • Letters of recommendation (if available)
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must fulfill the following  admission requirements:
  • Professional qualifications relevant to the PhD project
  • Relevant publications
  • Relevant work experience
  • Other relevant professional activities
  • Curious mindset with a strong interest in the subjects related to the position
  • Good language skills
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must fulfill the following language requirements:
  • If English is not your first language, you are needed to produce proof of your ability to speak English or Danish. Acceptable proof includes the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
