International PhD Fellowship in Computational Biology/Computer Science in Denmark Established in 1479, Københavns Universitet (University of Copenhagen) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Copenhagen (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Capital Region of Denmark. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All international entrants are eligible to apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD program in Computational Biology/Computer Science
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Applicants should hold an MSc degree in Bioinformatics/computer science/Biology with good results and good English skills. As criteria for the assessment of your qualifications, emphasis will also be laid on previous publications (if any) and relevant work experience.

Offered Benefits

The successfully selected applicants will be provided with a PhD Fellowship at the University of Copenhagen with a salary range starting at DKK 333,464 (approx. €44,461), including an annual supplement (+ pension at a minimum of DKK 54,191). Negotiation for a salary supplement is possible.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: To apply for the fellowship, all interested candidates must take admission in a PhD degree at the University of Copenhagen. After getting enrolled, applicants must complete and submit the online application form.
  • Supporting Documents: The applicants must submit the following documents:
  • CV
  • Diploma and transcripts of records (BSc and MSc)
  • Acceptance Letter for the relevant MSc Programme at SCIENCE, if any
  • Other information for consideration, e.g., list of publications (if any)
  • 1-3 reference letters (if any)
  • Admission Requirements: The candidate must have a master’s degree in a relevant subject.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants who have previously studied in an English-speaking country, or have acquired fluent English proficiency by other means, may be exempt from submitting formal English test results to demonstrate their English proficiency.
