International Grants at Miami University Graduate School, USA


To foster the education of future professionals from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds, Miami University Graduate School is offering the International Grants for the academic year 2022-2023 to international students. 

The Graduate School will award a 100% waiver of out of state tuition and a 100% waiver of the instructional fee for international students pursuing a graduate degree. All international applicants that meet the eligibility criteria will be considered for this grant award.

International Grants at Miami University Graduate School, USA Founded in 1809, Miami University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the medium-sized town of Oxford (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Ohio. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Hamilton, Middletown. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Higher Learning Commission, Miami University (MU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Miami University (MU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 210 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Students from all foreign countries are eligible to apply. 
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Programmes at the Graduate School, of Miami University, can be applied for. 
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Students must be on an F or J visa.
  • Applicant must have earned degree(s) from a university recognized by the country’s Ministry of Education with a minimum GPA of 3.0 after credential evaluation.
  • The applicants are required to have attained an ILETS score of 7.0 or TOEFL IBT scores of 87 to qualify for the grant. 

Offered Benefits

The students selected to be given the grant will be provided with a 100% waiver of the international tuition fee of the applied programme at Graduate School MU. 

Application Process

  • How to Apply: International students need to submit an online admission application. All students that apply to the Graduated School will be considered for the scholarship. 
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must submit their academic record/transcript at the time of application. Unofficial transcripts are also accepted by the Graduate School. 
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants for graduate study must have earned at least a 4-year U.S. equivalent Baccalaureate degree. The students are required to have achieved a minimum of 3.0 GPA in their previous degree qualification. 
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests: 
  • IELTS – 6.5
  • TOEFL IBT – 80 
  • PTE – 54
  • Duolingo – 110 
  • ACE-G – B
