International Graduate Research Fellowships in USA Founded in 1856, University of Maryland is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the medium-sized town of College Park (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Maryland. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, University of Maryland is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 40,000-44,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Maryland offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Application Process

  • How to Apply:  Admission applications must be submitted through the university portal. Scholarship applications must be made by completing the  Application Cover Sheet  and submitting it via mail to   along with the listed supporting documents in PDF format. 
  • Supporting Documents:  The students must submit the following supporting documents: 
  • A letter of recommendation from a member of the UMD faculty 
  • An endorsement letter
  • A student statement
  • A statement from the student’s program 
  • A statement from the host institution 
  • Student’s curriculum vitae
  • Admission Requirements:  The applicants must meet the minimum requirements set by the Graduate School and must meet departmental and/or program-specific requirements which may exceed the minimum.
  • Language Requirement:  The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL IBT – 96 
  • IELTS – 7.0 
  • PTE – 68
