For providing financial support to high-potential overseas students, the University of Leeds is offering International Foundation Award for the academic year 2020-21.

The grant is available for supporting those eligible students who wish to study the undergraduate degree coursework at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.

International Foundation Year Scholarship at the University of Leeds in the UK, 2020 Founded in 1904, University of Leeds is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Leeds (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Yorkshire and the Humber. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Leeds is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Leeds offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 115 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: International students from all over the globe are eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The award is available for undergraduate degree coursework.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible for this studentship, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a relevant undergraduate degree program.
  • You are a self-funded student paying fees at the full international student rate,
  • Students achieved a credit-weighted average of 75% on the Leeds IFY with no component grade below 60%.

Offered Benefits

Each successful student will be awarded worth up to £3,000. It will cover the tuition fees for the first year of your study.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: For applying, students need to take admission in the undergraduate degree study at the University of Leeds. After taking affirmation, claimants will automatically consider for the grant.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must submit a transcript, photographs, letter of recommendation, a resume, and all the previous necessary mark-sheets.
