The University of Ottawa is offering the International English Admission Scholarships to welcome talented international students entering eligible English-language undergraduate programs starting Winter 2026.
To qualify for the scholarship, students must be international applicants with a valid study permit, newly admitted for Winter 2026 or later to an approved English-language undergraduate program in eligible faculties

Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible Countries: All international countries
Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded to students admitted to any approved English-language undergraduate program offered by the eligible faculties at the University of Ottawa. - Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
• Be international students with a valid study permit.
• Be newly admitted for Winter 2026 or later into an approved English-language undergraduate program in the eligible faculties.
• Hold a minimum admission average of 80%.
• Not enroll in a French program or the French immersion stream.
• Be enrolled full time.
Renewal Criteria:
• Maintain full-time enrollment in an eligible undergraduate program.
• Spring–Summer term students receive full or 50% instalments depending on full-time (full value) or part-time (50%) enrollment of at least six units.
• Spring–Summer instalments must be applied for through the Online Scholarships and Bursaries portal in uoZone.
Notes:
• Cannot be combined with the Differential Tuition Fee Exemption Scholarship – Undergraduate Degree.
• Not awarded for co-op work terms.
• Part-time, temporary interruptions, or non-degree enrollment revoke the scholarship for that term.
Offered Benefits
• A scholarship valued at $7,500 per term.
• Renewable for up to 12 instalments (maximum value $90,000), subject to renewal criteria.
• Provides financial support to help international students pursue high-quality undergraduate education in English at the University of Ottawa.
Application Process
No separate application is required. All eligible students are automatically considered and will be notified at the time of admission.
