Charles Sturt University is pleased to announce the 2026 International Diversity Scholarship, aimed at encouraging and supporting talented international students from diverse cultural backgrounds. This scholarship provides a 15% tuition fee discount for the entire duration of the course and seeks to promote inclusion and global participation in higher education.

To be eligible for the Scholarship at Charles Sturt University, applicants must be new commencing international students applying from outside Australia for an on-campus program at an eligible campus. They must hold a passport from one of the approved countries listed and be enrolling in an eligible course.

International Diversity Scholarship in Australia Established in 1989, Charles Sturt University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized town of Bathurst (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), New South Wales. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Manly, Ontario, Orange, Port Macquarie, Wagga Wagga, Sydney, Melbourne, Goulburn, Canberra and Parramatta.   • Eligible Countries: Applicants holding a passport from the approved countries are eligible — including nations in Africa (Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa), Latin America and Europe (Brazil, Colombia, Turkey), Middle East and Central Asia (Jordan, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan), North Asia (China, Japan, Mongolia, South Korea, Taiwan), Pacific (Fiji), and Southeast Asia (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam).
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship applies to any eligible course offered at Charles Sturt University’s Sydney or Melbourne campus, or other eligible campuses such as Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie, and Wagga Wagga.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
  • Be a new commencing international student applying from offshore (outside Australia).

  • Hold a passport from one of the approved countries listed.

  • Apply for an eligible course offered in internal/on-campus mode.

  • Not be a continuing or transferring student.

  • Applicants with dual nationality are eligible if one of their nationalities (passport provided) is from the approved list.
