The University of Canterbury is encouraging students to become a part of the International C S McCully funding for the academic year 2020-2021. The grant is exclusively open for both domestic and international students.

The aim of the funding program is to support highly motivated students proceeding to the Professional Years of the BE(Hons) degree.

International C S McCully Scholarship at University of Canterbury in New Zealand, 2020 Established in 1873, University of Canterbury is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Christchurch (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Canterbury. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment, New Zealand, University of Canterbury (UC) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Canterbury (UC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 146 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applications are accepted from around the world.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The studentships are awarded to pursue a BE (Hons) degree.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must have to meet the following criteria:
  • Full-time students who have completed, or been exempted from the Engineering Intermediate Year, and are taking subjects of the Professional courses leading to a BE (Hons).

Offered Benefits

The scholarship provides financial assistance with the costs associated with university study, to a value of $2,000.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: To be eligible for the opportunity , students first have to take admission at the university. After being enrolled, they can apply for this education award.
  • Supporting Documents: Candidates have to submit the copies of transcripts, statement of purpose, letter of motivation, letter of recommendation and CV.
  • Admission Requirements: For being admitted, you need to meet entry requirements for each qualification you plan to study.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language requirements in order to be able to study at the university.
