The Southern Cross University is inviting motivating students to apply for the International Advancement funding for the academic session 2020-2021. The grant is available to pursue undergraduate to a postgraduate degree program.

The scholarship offers an $8,000 fee reduction each year, paid in instalments throughout each study year, commencing in the first session and continuing, based on successful completion of each study session.

International Advancement Scholarship at Southern Cross University in Australia, 2020 Founded in 1994, Southern Cross University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the rural setting of the large town of Lismore (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), New South Wales. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Coffs Harbour, Tweed Heads. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, Southern Cross University (SCU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Southern Cross University (SCU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 25 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: International students (except Australia or New Zealand) are eligible to apply for the awards.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The studentships are awarded in the subject
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must have to meet the following criteria:
  • Apply to study full-time (8 units per year), full undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at either the Gold Coast, Lismore of Coffs Harbour campus.
  • Completed either an undergraduate/postgraduate degree or two sessions of Study Abroad at Southern Cross University.
  • Undergraduate entry: A qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12 and the required entry grade for the program for which they have applied.
  • Postgraduate entry: A qualification equivalent to an Australian Bachelor’s degree.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: For applying, students have to take admission at the university. After being enrolled, candidates must have to submit the program application form with their International Application for Admission to [email protected] or they can also apply through a Southern Cross University Education Agent.
  • Supporting Documents: Candidates must have to submit the statement of results or transcript, including details of the institute marking or grading system.
  • Admission Requirements: For being admitted, you need to meet entry requirements for each qualification you plan to study.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language requirements in order to be able to study at the university.
