The IST Scientific Internships in Austria 2023 is now accepting applications from students interested in biology, computer science, data science & scientific computing, physics, mathematics, neuroscience, and other natural or disciplinary sciences. During this one-year paid internship program, students gain hands-on experience in their respective fields under the supervision of professionals in a supportive environment.

Established in 2009, Institute of Science and Technology Austria is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the medium-sized town of Klosterneuburg (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Lower Austria. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft and Forschung, Österreich (Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, Austria), Institute of Science and Technology Austria (IST Austria) is a very small (uniRank enrollment range: under-250 students) coeducational higher education institution. Once you’ve found a research group you’d like to work with, email the research group leader directly, remembering to include:
- A short intro to your background, and your motivation to work with them
- An attached CV (in PDF format), listing relevant experience, education history
- Possible dates for your internship
If the research group leader is interested in hosting you as a scientific intern in their research group, he/she or his/her assistant will be in touch with you regarding the next steps.
