Recipients would demonstrate this through their commitment to engagement, leadership and social justice within their community, and would be selected based on their ability to demonstrate how their current and future experience(s) are inclusive of the 4Rs (Kirkness & Barnhardt, 1991): Respect, Relevance, Reciprocity, and Responsibility.

For those who do not have membership or documentation that verifies Indigenous ancestry for various reasons (i.e., due to colonization, displacement, non-status, adoption, etc.), we acknowledge that this may be a difficult or upsetting process. Any other additional comments in support of the applicant.
As the applicant is applying for the Indigenous Undergraduate Student Entrance Award, please comment on their cultural contribution to the school and/or Indigenous community (500 words max).
