The University of Essex is very pleased to announce the India Scholarships to study in the UK. The programme is open for the academic year 2021-2022.

The grant is exclusively open to international students who are residents of India. The students who want to undertake any bachelor’s or master’s study at Essex are eligible to take this application . The selected students will get a 50% scholarship to cover the programme fee.

India Scholarships at University of Essex, UK Founded in 1964, University of Essex is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Colchester (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), East of England. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Loughton, Southend. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Essex is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Essex offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.   • Eligible Course or Subjects: Applicants can undertake any bachelor or master level study programme or Essex Online MBA at the University of Essex.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Applicants must be Indian residents commencing bachelor or master’s study at Essex in 2021-2022.

Offered Benefits

The winning students will get £5,785 to £9,250 to cover 50% of the tuition fee of the undertaken bachelor or master degree programme at the University of Essex.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: The applicants need to apply online on the university portal to complete the application process. Eligible Indian applicants will automatically be considered upon applying.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:

  • Admission Requirements: Applicants are required to meet country-specific and course specific requirements.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 6.5
  • TOEFL IBT – 88
  • PTE – 58
  • CAE/CPE – 176
  • Trinity College London ISE – Pass
  • Michigan ECPE – Pass with 795 in each component
