"Immanuel Kant II"-Research Grants

The scholarships that the DAAD offers together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation provide Russian doctoral candidates and young university teachers from the fields of Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, and Economics and Business Administration with an opportunity to carry out a research project at a German university or non-university research institution and to establish long-term contacts with German university teachers and researchers. The programme is open exclusively to members of universities that are subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (Rosobrasovanie).

Eligibility Criteria

Target Group

A Graduate students full-time students and young teachers of humanities, social, legal and economic disciplines, which is not yet on 01.10.2014 will be 35 years old and have a diploma or degree. Warning: Applicants must target group "A "have the right to participate in the competition and PhDs under 35 years old! 'B': Teachers of the humanities, social, legal and economic disciplines , which is not yet on 15.09.2014 will be 35 years old and have a PhD degree or a doctorate. Attention!

  • Applicants must be full-time graduate study or full-time employees of one of the state universities subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) .

  • Applications from persons whose place of work are research institutions of the Russian Academy of Sciences, are not accepted.

Applicants must be proficient in German or English language at a level sufficient to communicate with their German colleagues on scientific subjects:

  • Applicants group "A" confirm the degree of knowledge of German or English with
    • form Sprachzeugnis für ausländische Bewerber / Language Certificate for foreign applicants , completed high school teacher of the foreign language, always with a seal of the department or faculty , or
    • any certificate of international standard, for example, the German language - TestDaF, DSD C1 or certificates Institute. Goethe, with the result for English - TOEFL, IELTS, ESOL.
  • Applicants group «B» do not provide proof of language skills.

Offered Benefits

The scholarship, jointly funded by the DAAD and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, according to the status of Fellow from 1000 - to 2000, - Euro per month. Part of scholarships funded by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, transferred to the account of a Russian university and paid the fellow through the accounts department. Part of the grant, funded by DAAD, transferred to an account opened by the scholarship after arriving at the place of internship.
