The Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science is deeply committed to fostering diversity within the engineering and technology sector. In particular, we aim to increase the representation and active involvement of Indigenous and Black communities.

In line with Concordia's ongoing efforts to empower, mentor, and provide comprehensive support to aspiring leaders in both academia and industry, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Indigenous and Black Engineering/Technology (IBET) Momentum Fellowship. This prestigious fellowship has been established to attract highly qualified domestic applicants who self-identify as Indigenous or Black, and to offer them financial support throughout their academic journey.

IBET Momentum Fellowship 2026 at Concordia University for PhD Founded in 1974, Concordia University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Montréal (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Quebec. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur, Québec (Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Quebec), Concordia University (CU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. Concordia University (CU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
