Honors Programme Scholarships at University of Nebraska Kearney Established in 1903, University of Nebraska at Kearney is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the rural setting of the medium-sized town of Kearney (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Nebraska. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Higher Learning Commission, University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 8,000-8,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 116 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 80-90% making this US higher education organization a least selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

Criteria for high school seniors:

  • Grade point average of at least 3.85 -AND-
  • A minimum ACT score of 30*

*Due to hardships encountered during COVID and lack of ACT testing availability, please apply even if you have not taken the ACT. As soon as you are able to take the ACT, email your scores to honors@unk.edu.

Offered Benefits

This scholarship provides a fully funded college experience including tuition, housing, board, books, and university fees for four years for up to three students per year.
