Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the New ISP Student Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Begin Highline College enrollment in Fall 2023, Winter 2024, Spring 2024, or Summer 2024. (Students who took one or more Highline courses before Fall 2023 are not eligible.)
  • Be an F-1 International student paying non-resident tuition.
  • Enroll in 12 or more credits in both the first and second quarter.
  • If in the US, be enrolled full-time and in-status at Highline College. Full-time status requires a minimum of 12 credits per quarter, with no more than one remote class counting towards the full course of study.

Offered Benefits

The New ISP Student Scholarship awards $500.00 US, which will be applied to the second quarter’s tuition fee. It’s important to note that this scholarship is a one-time award per recipient.

  • How to Apply: Prospective applicants can apply for the New ISP Student Scholarship by following these steps:
  • Write a short essay answering the question, “Why did you choose Highline College?” The essay should reflect your personal story. Grammar will not be a factor in the evaluation; the focus is on understanding your motivation.
  • Apply early to increase your chances of success.
  • Fill out the New ISP Student Scholarship Application, including the submission of your essay.
  • Supporting Documents: Short essay answering the provided question.
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must be newly admitted international students at Highline College for the specified academic terms.
  • Important Information:
  • All applicants will be notified on a weekly basis.
  • Communication regarding the scholarship application will be sent to the email account provided by the applicant.
