Heriot-Watt University is delighted to announce the Cairn Energy MSc funding for students residing in the UK or any European Union country. There are up to four fully-funded scholarships available for deserving candidates.
The award is a competitive merit program open to supporting financially to MSc students taking part in university’s new Subsurface Energy Systems MSc program or a 1-year full-time MSc by Research project in clean energy.

Application Process
- How to Apply: To apply for the award, firstly you have to take admission for MSc program at Heriot-Watt University. After that, you will need to complete an online application form that will be available only when you log in through this link.
- Supporting Documents: CV, academic transcripts, academic referee details, and a statement of intent describing your motivation to undertake a one year MSc by Research program and addressing some questions can be used as accompanying documents.
- Admission Requirements: First or second class Honors degree in a relevant discipline is required for entry to postgraduate programs. Besides, different degrees, along with relevant industrial experience, will also be considered.
- Language Requirement: Students undertaking the MSc program at the university must have IELTS 7.5 to demonstrate their English proficiency.
