Head Start Scholarships for International Students in New Zealand

Eligibility Criteria

• Eligible Countries: Overseas students can apply.
• Eligible Course or Subjects: Bachelor’s, Postgraduate Diploma or Master programmes offered at UNITEC can be applied for.
• Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
• The applicants must be international students on a student visa.

Offered Benefits

The scholarship will be rewarded to the selected students, under which they will be given $1,500 towards their study at UNITEC.

Application Process

• How to Apply: Online admission applications must be made via the official university portal. Scholarship application is to be made separately.
• Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
• Certified/notarized copy of personal details page from passport, or birth certificate
• Original or certified** photocopies of all previous tertiary transcripts and certificates (showing all subjects attempted in all years of study and the grades awarded)
• Copies of your syllabus are required if you are applying for cross-credits
• Certified/notarized copy of personal details page from passport, or birth certificate
• Statement of Purpose
• CV/Resume including detailed descriptions of any relevant work experience showing tasks performed and responsibilities
• Work-related references
• Portfolio (for Architecture and Design programmes)
• Detailed research proposal
• Admission Requirements: Students are required to have submitted all necessary documents.
• Language Requirement: The students must be required to meet all the English language requirements of the university.
