New York University (NYU) is pleased to announce the Hauser/Remarque Global Fellowship, a unique opportunity for scholars in law and related fields. This fellowship, offered in collaboration with the Remarque Institute, seeks candidates engaged in research on international law, European law, and the sociology of law with a focus on Europe.

The fellowship program is open to foreign nationals, US citizens, and dual-nationality citizens who are teaching, working, or studying outside the United States. Applicants must be engaged in law or law-adjacent research with a focus on Europe, broadly defined. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities, with a focus on applicants working or studying outside of the United States.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The fellowship will be awarded to scholars working in law or law-adjacent subjects such as international law, European law, international legal history, and sociology of law, with relevance to Europe.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
    • Must be foreign nationals, US, or dual-nationality citizens teaching, working, or studying outside of the US.
    • Research must involve Europe to some degree.
    • Must be able to participate in and contribute to both the Hauser Global Fellows Program and the Remarque Institute.
    • Must submit all required application materials by the deadline.
