The selected fellows will be provided an annual salary of $65,000 along with other benefits such as relocation, research travel grants, and more.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries:  Students from all countries including home country can apply. 
  • Eligible Course or Subjects:  Postdoctoral position at the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies of the Harvard T.H. Chan School Of Public Health can be applied for. 
  • Eligibility Criteria:  To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The candidates must have a strong record of academic training.
  • The applicants must have a commitment to population and development work.
  • The applicants must have demonstrated the ability to work independently.
  • The applicants must possess a leadership position. 

Offered Benefits

The winners of the fellowship will be offered a salary of $65,000/year, plus fringe benefits including subsidized health insurance. The following benefits will also be provided:

  • Relocation funds of up to $5,000
  • A budget of $12,000 upon arrival to be used for research and work-related travel over their two-year stint
  • $2,000 to spend on the purchase of one laptop/desktop/tablet (hardware) for work-related projects

Application Process

  • How to Apply:  Interested students must submit their fellowship applications  online  to be considered for the same. All candidates who have applied will be considered. 
  • Supporting Documents:  The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Copy of Diploma (Preferred); or
  • Letter from Registrar‡s Office noting that all doctoral requirements have been completed; or
  • Letter from the chair of a thesis committee noting that all doctoral requirements have been completed.

  • Research Proposal 
  • Contact of three recommenders 
  • Letters of recommendation 
  • Admission Requirements:  The applicants must have doctoral training in the necessary field of study such as behavioural and social sciences, health professions, demography, public policy, public health, history of science, and communications and urban planning. 
  • Language Requirement:  The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests: 
  • TOEFL IBT – 100 
  • TOEFL CBT – 250
  • TOEFL PBT – 600
