Hallym University Graduate Research Assistantship in South Korea for PhD Established in 1982, Hallym University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the small city of Chuncheon (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Gangwon. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Korea, Hallym University is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 8,000-8,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Hallym University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 37 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 10-20% making this South Korean higher education organization a most selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

  • Monthly Allowance of 800,000 ~ 900,000 won (KRW)
  • Extra allowances based on research performance

  • Summary of the most recent thesis and the status (eg accepted, in progress, submitted, etc)
  • Admission Requirements: For taking admission, applicants must have a previous year degree.
  • Language Requirement: Students need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English.
