The grant is funded by the Guangdong Provincial Government to support undergraduate and graduate studies of international students at the universities of Guangdong Province. All international students who wish to undertake any undergraduate or graduate degree programme at SCNU and are under 30 are eligible to receive this application .

Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarships at South China Normal University Founded in 1933, South China Normal University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Guangzhou (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Guangdong. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education, Guangdong Province, South China Normal University (SCNU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 35,000-39,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. South China Normal University (SCNU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 86 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this Chinese higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Offered Benefits

The university will provide the winning candidates a sum of RMB 20,000 per person towards a master’s degree programme and RMB 10,000 per person towards a bachelor’s degree programme.

  • How to Apply: The applicants are required to register on the official student portal of the university and complete the general application. To apply for the opportunity , the applicants must fill a application form and send it via post before the deadline.

  • Foreigner Physical Examination Form
  • Highest academic education certification
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must under the age of 30 to be accepted in any chosen undergraduate or graduate degree programme at SCNU.
  • Language Requirement: The applicants must attain minimum required scores on the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL PBT – 550
  • TOEFL CBT – 230
  • IELTS – 6.0
