GREAT Scholarships for Chinese and Pakistani Students at University of Birmingham, UK Founded in 1900, University of Birmingham is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Birmingham (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), West Midlands. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Birmingham is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Birmingham offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: China and Pakistan
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for postgraduate courses in the College of Arts and Law (Excluding Law LLM and MSc).
  • Admissible Criteria: To be entitled, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Applicants must meet the academic conditions of their offer to the program to retain the scholarship
  • Applicants must be domiciled in Pakistan or China
  • Applicants must be classed by the University as an overseas fee payers for tuition purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
  • Applicants must have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
  • Applicants must not receive other scholarships or funding (the University of Birmingham or external).

Offered Benefits

The scholarship program provides financial aid of £10,000 to students chasing one-year postgraduate study in the UK.

Application Process

College of Arts and Law Masters Scholarships

  • How to Apply: Before applying to a College of Arts and Law Masters scholarship, applicants must have completed an application to study a relevant course at Birmingham.
  • To make an application to study, visit chosen course’s webpage and click the ‘Apply now’ button in the center of the page.
  • Once applicants have made an application to study, they will eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must submit all the following documents:
  • Evidence of qualifications
  • Two academic references
  • Transcripts
  • Personal statement (approximately 5000 characters)
  • Proof of English language proficiency
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must check country-specific requirements ( China and Pakistan) to study at the College of Arts and Law.
  • Language Requirement: If the applicant’s first language is not English, they must provide an English language qualification. Must meet all the Postgraduate English language requirements.
