Grants in Berlin for graduate students and young scholars

The Study Foundation of the Berlin House of Represntatives sponsors a scholarship programme for graduate students and young scholars of all fields. The programme is directed to applicants from the USA, France, Great Britain and the successor states of the former Soviet Union. Applicants should want to study in Berlin and/or work on projects that require access to research facilities in Berlin. During their 10-month stay grant winners will not only experience their research areas from an international perspective, but also the political, cultural and social dimensions of public life in Berlin.

Eligibility Criteria

Students should have obtained a Bachelor's degree before the programme starts.The age limit is 35 years.

Offered Benefits

The monthly grants amount to € 1,100 for graduate and doctoral students, and € 1,630 for post-doctoral fellows including the rent for the International Study Centre Berlin. In addition, the Foundation assumes travel costs to and from Berlin.
