Global Talent Fund BIG Scholarships in UK for Bachelor Established in 1583, The University of Edinburgh is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Edinburgh (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Scotland. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, The University of Edinburgh is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 40,000-44,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Edinburgh offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. This 436 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to students worldwide
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Scholarships are awarded for undergraduate degrees in Mathematics hosted by the School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
    • Have earned a medal in a major international science Olympiad.
    • Be accepted for full-time undergraduate admission to the School of Mathematics.
    • Apply to the University of Edinburgh through UCAS and await system access for scholarship application (does not require an offer at the time of application).
    • Demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, and societal aspirations.
    • Show financial need as part of the assessment criteria.
    • Note: The scholarship covers a maximum duration of 4 years. For MMath programs, students must join directly into the second year to qualify for funding throughout the degree.

Application Process

  1. Submit an application for admission to the University of Edinburgh via UCAS.
  2. After submission, access the scholarship application system in EUCLID via the MyEd portal ( https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk). Allow up to five working days for system checks post-application.
  3. Complete the online scholarship application form by 23:59 BST on 31st March 2025.
